Blockchain extraction FPS Shrapnel has soft launched an NFT marketplace containing official new weapon skins that will remain on sale until the end of April.
Sale Details
The new NFTs went live on the game’s official marketplace on March 20th, introducing 20 weapon skins that can be bought using the $SHRAP token only, with the launch including the first set of Legendary skins labelled as “Nishikigoi.”
Out of the 20 new assets, 10 are marketplace exclusive, and while the other 10 can also be purchased now, the official announcement states that it will be possible to craft them through gameplay using skin fragments in a future STX event.
Specifically, the following sets are exclusive to the marketplace:
- Chartreuse Viper (pistol, AR, shotgun) - Rare
- Faded Nexus (pistol, AR, shotgun) - Rare
- Nishikigoi (pistol, AR, shotgun, SMG) - Legendary
These sets contain skins you’ll be able to craft later on:
- Rubicon (pistol, AR, shotgun) - Rare
- Nighthawks Watch (pistol, AR, shotgun) - Epic
- Muted Serpent (pistol, AR, shotgun) - Rare
- Cerulean Digital (AR) - Rare
Details on skin fragments and the crafting feature are planned to soon be revealed.
When it comes to prices, Common skins cost 5 $SHRAP, Rare skins are priced at 10 $SHRAP, Epic skins cost 15 $SHRAP and Legendary assets require 30 $SHRAP tokens to purchase. The rarity structure is currently said to be determined based on the quality of the art, but this could change at some point later on.
Everyone who purchased one of these weapon skins and participated in the recent STX2 event was able to use their purchased skin in-game during the event.
The 20 weapon skins will remain on sale until the end of April. These skins cannot be sold on the marketplace for the time being, but the team plans on making this possible in the future.
