The communities behind extraction shooter Shrapnel and game-first franchise Unioverse are facing off this week in the Proving Grounds tournament, which started on May 21st and will end on May 28th at midnight UTC.

The week-long competition has both sides fight it out in the alpha version of the Proving Grounds, a third-person sci-fi title that looks inspired by the popular free-to-play game, Warframe. Since this alpha requires ownership of a Hero in order to play, all Shrapnel Operator holders have been airdropped a Reyu Clone NFT in order to be able to participate, but if you’d also like to play and don’t have this NFT, then you can get it on OpenSea on the Polygon network for the current floor price of 0.094 $MATIC, which is around $0.11 at the time of writing.

The goal is to essentially be one of the fastest players in order to rank in the top 50 of the leaderboard. Which community wins will depend not only on the fastest time but also how many of each community ranks at the top, so if Unioverse has more of its community in the top 50, they win.

As for prizes, the highest-ranked player will be rewarded with a Legendary Reyu and a Shrapnel Operator NFT, while players ranked from 2nd to 5th get an Epic Reyu and Shrapnel Operator, and those in places from 6th to 10th are awarded a Rare Reyu and Shrapnel Sigma Containment Unit. All top 50 players however get to earn a commemorative badge featuring the winning team, as well as the Krishah Hero that will be mintable in about 30 days.
