The latest update to narrative-driven city builder Serum City introduces the Daily Challenges feature while making the game available as a progressive web app on Android devices.

Daily Challenges

Daily Challenges are in-game mini quests through which players can earn Soul Gems, Speed Ups, Doubloons, Transmutation Ingredients and Season Points. This makes the new feature the first addition to the Web3 title that allows players to earn Season Points outside the Leaderboards.

Progressive Web App

Next to the significant new feature, players on Android can now enjoy the blockchain title as a progressive web app. This means that by heading to the game’s official website, you will now be able to download it there as an app to pin on your home screen, removing the need of having to play directly through a mobile browser.

About Serum City

Serum City is a story-focused Web3 city builder in development by Faraway and Novel Labs, the former also known for blockchain FPS Mini Royale: Nations and for Yuga Labs’ upcoming free-to-play endless runner, Dookey Dash: Unclogged.

The browser-based title is currently in Season 1 of Early Access which began last month. This exclusive phase is available for holders of Mutant Cartel Oaths, Mutant Hounds, and MAYC/BAYC NFTs who can claim their pass on the official pass claim website. Participating in this season gives players a chance of earning NFTs such as rare Car Parts to use in Season 2, which will include a minimum $100k prize pool in the form of $APE tokens.
