The developers of Seraph have officially announced the launch of Season 4 PTR (Public Test Realm), giving the web3 gaming community a free opportunity to test out new features before they are fully introduced in a proper new season.
What’s New in Seraph Season 4 PTR?
This PTR gives players the chance to try out various new features and content in a separate test server to help the game devs make sure the new mechanics are ready to be added on live servers for the upcoming Season 4.
For this test phase of the 4th official season, the team has introduced the following additions to improve player progression and the overall gameplay experience:
- Guild GvG System
- Void Realm Invasion
- Void Realm T19 Difficulty
- Potion Crafting
- World Level System
- Equipment Black Market
- Seasonal Treasures
- Treasure of Seraph
- Mercenary Arena
The Guild GvG System introduces a battleground map made exclusively for guilds only, in order to allow guilds to battle it out in PvP gameplay while fighting monsters and each other as both sides attempt to secure the highest amount of resource plots.
Next to enhancing the experience of being a guild member with a guild-focused PvP mode, regardless of whether you’re a part of a guild or prefer to go solo, anyone can look forward to enjoying a special new Void Realm Invasion map that everyone can enter to try and gain better rewards such as equipment, blessings, and more goodies. This also means that there is now a new T19 difficulty level, where you can expect to face more challenging bosses, which in turn means more valuable equipment drops to look forward to.
Materials dropped from the Void Realm can now be used to craft various potions that can improve certain character stats to help you be better prepared for whatever foe awaits on your journey. The announcement states more tradable item types are planned to be added as well.
The World Level System tracks the average character levels of all active players in the server to determine a world level. Any player in the server that is below the world level will have their leveling speed boosted, allowing new players to more easily catch up to the majority of the players in that particular server. This can thus not only improve the early-game experience, but also make new players more likely to stick around if they know they can get to the levels where everyone else is at a faster rate, allowing more players to enjoy higher-level content together and overall have a better in-game social experience.
The Equipment Black Market lets player spend Gold or Chaos Stones in order to try their luck at randomly receiving some good gear, as the system gives players equipment across various tiers.
Seasonal Treasures offers players the chance to earn Soul Spars and other combat-enhancing items during a season within Void Realm dungeons. The Treasure of Seraph, on the other hand, is a new feature in which you spend tickets in order to buy EXP for a chance of earning Level 50 NFT treasures.
Mercenary Arena is a points-based gameplay mode divided into an NFT arena of the same name, and a Fair Arena that requires no prior ownership of Mercenary NFTs to play. You can thus put your combat skills to the test for free in the Fair Arena before deciding to compete in the Mercenary Arena with a Mercenary NFT, which can be bought on the game’s own ActPass NFT marketplace for the current floor price of 600 $SERAPH tokens (~$116) on the opBNB L2 chain.
Next to all these features, this public test will also be used to try out a new reward system that is planned to be used for S4 Rift tokens. If you want to check out all these new additions for yourself and possibly become better prepared to play and earn in the new season, then here’s how you can get started.
How to Participate in Season 4 PTR
Seraph’s Season 4 PTR is available for PC players only, and anyone can participate for free by downloading the Windows version of the web3 game through the official website. Create an account and choose the test server in-game to get started.
To make it easier for players to playtest the new systems and content, everyone participating is awarded free Leveling Items, Passes, and Stalls. Throughout the testing period, the team will look to make the experience even more fun by occasionally giving out high-level NFT equipment, Feathers, Chaos Stones, refinement items, and other consumables.
