Sequence, a Web3 development platform by Skyweaver developer Horizon, has announced that they have formed a partnership with Mon Studios to integrate their WaaS (Wallet as a Service) solution into Spellborne, a Web3 monster-catching MMORPG previously known as Defimons.

Partnership Details

Thanks to this partnership, the upcoming PC and mobile title will lead to the integration of Sequence’s wallet solution, which will enable players to enjoy a seamless experience in which they will be able to manage items without having to leave the game while still being able to make secure transactions. This will allow players to continue having an immersive experience without being taken out of the came, blending Web3 technologies with traditional gaming in a way that makes blockchain gaming more accessible to a wider audience.

The founder of Mon Studios, Ghosty, said the following in the official announcement:

“At Spellborne, we recognize the importance of providing our players with a seamless, simple, and secure gaming experience. Integrating Sequence Wallet as a Service enables us to uphold our commitment to user convenience and safety, ensuring that our players can immerse themselves fully in our enchanting world without any worries about complexities usually associated with web3 and blockchain technology.”

Benefits

There are various benefits that come with this new partnership. Namely, the integration of the non-custodial WaaS enables user-friendly social login options with 2FA security as well as customizable player onboarding that allows the developer to set up a completely embedded signup process using their own visuals and authentication system instead of having to include third-party branding, enabling for a more seamless experience. The service also makes it possible to keep the blockchain side of things behind the scenes through the use of seamless transactions, meaning that there are no pop-ups to interrupt players during gameplay.

When a new player signs up for a new account, a wallet will automatically be created for the game in order to allow players make in-game NFT purchases using their credit or debit card. The wallet is also said to come with the ability to make batched transactions and gas fee sponsorships. With everything embedded in-game, players will never have to download any additional app, extension or add-on.

The Head of Business at Sequence, Carl Aspeling, added:

“By integrating Sequence Wallet as a Service into their game, Mon Studios ensures that players can fully engage with the enchanting world of Spellborne without any disruptions or concerns about blockchain complexities. It is a game-changing solution that, for the first time in our space, enables custom, fully embedded, seamless web3 gaming experiences. "

Spellborne is scheduled to officially launch at the end of this month.
