After announcing the invite-only beta test last month, dot.GAMING Studio has now officially started off this testing phase for their seafaring 4X strategy game, Sailwars.
Beta Info
Everyone who managed to get invited after successfully participating in the campaign leading up to this launch can now access this beta from January 22nd to February 4th, and not only get to help the developers further test the Web3 title, but also compete for a prize pool with $50k worth of rewards. Don’t worry if you don’t have a whitelist spot for this beta though, as according to the announcement, the developers will be giving everyone without a beta whitelist a chance to play from January 25th. The game can be accessed by creating an account on the game’s official website, with the title playable on web browsers and Android devices.
The goal of this limited-time phase is to give the community an early chance to try out the game and see what gameplay is actually like, learning how various items and mechanics work ahead of the official launch while helping the developers release a polished blockchain game by providing them with constructive feedback and reporting bugs and glitches you might come across.
For this testing period, invited players can play certain missions from various chapters while building up their main city and raising an army to dabble in core PVE and PVP combat. There is also alliance gameplay which includes fighting for stronghold and royal city control, alongside other content such as a detailed view of the Etrurar map, the ability to use various features such as expeditions and garrison management, and more.
Prize Pool
The prize pool is said to consist of rewards that in total are valued more than $50k. To get a share of this pool, you’ll need to rank in the top 500 in one of 3 different rankings: Building Master (Main City Construction Ranking), Monster Hunter (PVE Ranking), or Strongest Lord (Personal Power Ranking). The highest-ranked player will be awarded with an iPhone 15 Pro.
Next to the main pool, players could also earn tokens by providing feedback and suggestions to the developers. If what you report is deemed eligible, you will be awarded with $10 worth of SWT tokens.
