Blockchain strategy game Rebel Bots Xoil Wars has announced update 1.1.4, which is focused on making additions and improvements that are said to enhance the competitive experience.
Update Details
The latest update revamps the leaderboard system while introducing new prize distribution alongside a dynamic rewards system in one of the new leaderboards.
New Leaderboards
The leaderboard system has been overhauled by splitting it into 3 different leaderboards: My Kingdom Leaderboard, All Kingdoms Leaderboard and All Players Leaderboard.
In the first one, players compete for Xoil rewards from their Kingdom’s treasury by earning stars from winning PvP battles. Stars are used to rank you on the leaderboard, which is currently awarding 4000 $XOIL for the top 3 players of each Kingdom as a result of the small treasury number, with the prize pool set to potentially increase if the playerbase grows in the future. Using the new rewards system, the top-ranked player will get 50% of the 4000 $XOIL total prize pool, while 2nd best gets 35% and the 3rd highest-ranked player receives 15%. Rewards will be sent to players’ land wallets at the end of the season.
The All Kingdoms Leaderboard sees the top 100 Kingdoms compete for $RBLS tokens. A Kingdom’s rank is determined based on the Kingdom’s top 10 players with the most trophies. The top 10 players from each of the top 10 Kingdoms will share a 8000 $RBLS prize pool.
As for the All Players Leaderboard, a total of 10k $RBLS tokens are up for grabs for the top 100 players who manage to accrue the highest number of trophies during the season.
Future Plans
The update is set to release mid-season, adding in the 2 new leaderboards next to the existing All Players Leaderboard. While this current season is a month long, the developers plan on reducing future seasons to 2 weeks. The new leaderboards will be active this season, so players will already be able to compete for rewards from them regardless of their launch happening in the middle of the season.
