Mobile MMORPG and blockchain gaming ecosystem Pixel Heroes Adventure has announced August 20 as the official launch date for LandZ Arena, which will be followed by a Play2Mint event through which players can earn token rewards and more.

What Is LandZ Arena?

LandZ Arena is a web3 strategy game in which players battle through the main dungeon of Carnium and gather various resources while participating in special PvP events, fighting field bosses, and capturing bases in Territory Wars.

Carnium represents the core event dungeon in this 2D PvPvE title, where up to 100 players dabble in a range of activities such as mining, fishing, gathering, and lumbering to collect unique materials and rewards while journeying through PvP zones and safe areas and engaging in PvE battles against field bosses such as Kardos, the dark and fiery dungeon ruler that appears at certain times every day and holds valuable loot to those who successfully slay him. Entering this dungeon requires Carnium Tickets, which give players a certain amount of time to play, meaning tickets will have to be constantly spent in order to continue entering this core stage of the game. Tickets are awarded to characters with an activated Arena Seal.

Another core focus in this top-down pixelated blockchain gaming experience is Territory Wars, a game mode in which players team up in guilds to capture bases and secure high rankings to win rewards. Cooperate in real time to successfully hold on to bases, which are captured by accumulating capture points every 5 seconds when standing on them. Additional capture points are awarded for taking out enemy players on a base, and once the required number of capture points is reached, the base is yours, granting a unique buff to your team to help you in your territorial conquest. The guild that successfully captures the main base and holds on to it for 10 minutes will end the Territory Wars session, calculating rankings based on a guild’s total combined number of capture points.

The game is set to officially go live on August 20, with a reward-packed Play2Mint event set to start at some point afterwards, potentially before September 17. Though not specifically stated, given the name of this title, you may need to own a LandZ NFT to participate, but if not, owning one might still be useful to boosting rewards, as staking the asset increases event points and allows you to participate in NFT-based token mining of $ADVTR, the core token of the Pixel Heroes ecosystem for which TGE is planned to take place in Q3 2025, after the Play2Mint event. LandZ NFTs can be found on the Ronin Market for the floor price of 55 $RON at the time of writing.

How to Play to Earn in the Play2Mint Event

During the Play2Mint event in LandZ Arena, players who buy an Arena Seal NFT can play to earn a share of a community-driven token reward pool by collecting PlayPoints.

PlayPoints are core event points divided into Base PlayPoints and Seal PlayPoints, with most of the prize pool distributed based on accumulation of the former.

Base PlayPoints is the main points system players will focus on during the event, and it can be earned through all in-game activities in Carnium, including ones such as gathering resources, mining, fishing, defeating elite monsters, and more. Next to playing the game’s main dungeon event, it's possible to earn Base PlayPoints through Territory Wars, where points are distributed individually based on a player’s contribution. Additional PlayPoints can be earned by completing stage missions in the Pixel Heroes dApp.

Seal PlayPoints are awarded based on the sum of Base PlayPoints collected by all players you choose to sponsor. Sponsoring players requires buying and activating Arena Seals, which can give your character a point earnings boost of up to 200% depending on the number of $MGT tokens deposited. Arena Seals are paid for using MGOLD ($MGT) and grant one event ticket each day while serving as a new sponsorship mechanic through which players can sponsor each other in order to become eligible to earn PlayPoints and gain access to enhanced rewards. Based on info revealed so far, you’re going to need an Arena Seal anyways to participate in the Play2Mint event as it gives 1 daily Carnium ticket per day to the character that has the NFT activated. Whether you choose to sponsor other players using this asset is up to you, but doing so will allow you to earn more Seal PlayPoints, as Seal PlayPoints are based on the sum of Base PlayPoints accumulated by all players you’ve sponsored.

80% of the total prize pool is distributed based on the final amount of Base PlayPoints collected by everyone by the end of the event, while 20% is reserved for players who have Seal PlayPoints.

The base reward pool consists of 10 million $MGT tokens, which is currently worth around ~$25,890, plus a potential unspecified amount of $CROSS tokens. This is the starting pool though; it can be increased depending on player spending and ultimately the amount of gamers joining this event. This means that 50% of $MGT deposited to the game goes towards the reward pool, while 80% of Arena Seal spending in $MGT also increases rewards for everyone who gets a share of this event pool. 80% of Premium Arena Box spending in $MGT is the last method through which the community can increase this event’s reward pool.

Next to token rewards, players can also earn a key material called Statue Core. This is a special guild reward awarded in Territory Wars and other Arena activities, such as boss raids, fighting elite monsters, and more. They’re also distributed based on the total amount of PlayPoints you have at the end of the event. You can exchange Statue Cores for Boss Statue NFTs, which can be placed on your LandZ NFT to influence its staking mining power. Staking these on-chain assets can give you access to 7% of the $ADVTR token’s total supply, and by adding Boss Statues to your staked land, you get to increase your mining power and thus potentially win a bigger airdrop allocation of the upcoming ecosystem token.

By buying an Arena Seal NFT through the ecosystem dApp, you should be ready to participate in the Play2Mint event of LandZ Arena. The asset should cost 5000 $MGT tokens (~$13) and give you 1 daily Carnium ticket to engage in various in-game activities through which you earn PlayPoints, and thus potentially a share of this event’s token reward pool.
