Developer Mirai Labs has announced that their mobile PvP mecha horse racing game, Pegaxy: Blaze, is now live in alpha on Android and iOS devices, available for download for free on the Play Store and App Store respectively.

Alpha Launch Details

The alpha release took place on April 3rd, opening the 3D title up to the masses in the form of a free-to-play Web3 featuring a variety of game modes to play in as mechanized horses called Pegas. These modes include Racing Arena, Team Battle, Solo Battle, and Guild Tournament Mode.

In Racing Arena, the focus is on winning the race by navigating your way across a random track against 7 other players, using your Pega’s unique skills, the Nitro system and various items from crates you collect throughout the race to your advantage. As for Team Battle and Solo Battle, 8 players fight it out in a battle arena while using their Pegas to collect bullets to gain points, either solo or as a team. To play in Guild Tournaments, you will have to join a guild, which requires not only getting approval but also purchasing a Guild Spot using ETH on the Mirai Chain in your Mirai Wallet. Being a part of a guild will allow you to earn rewards together with your team members by completing various guild quests, participating in tournaments using a Pega NFT and climbing up the seasonal leaderboard. Players can also earn by trading seats and fractions, the latter being shares of a guild bought using ETH.

Every free-to-play player starts off with a Locked Pega, which is non-tradable. In order to turn it into a tradable NFT, you will need an Unlock Key that matches the rarity of your Pega. These keys can be bought using earnable VIS Gold, and the amount of keys you need depends on the level of your Locked Pega.

Roadmap

According to the 2024 roadmap, players can look forward to Pega & Skin renting, an airdrop, DAO system, 2 NFT events, 2 new game modes and a new map by the end of this year.
