The team behind Paradise Tycoon has announced that they plan on releasing Alpha Snapshot 4, a huge update for the free-to-play, play-and-earn title, on Sunday, February 19th.

The new update will be playable on Android devices as well as on PC, including Windows and Mac, via web browsers.

This 4th snapshot improves upon the gameplay players could enjoy in previous snapshots while fixing various bugs and adding in new features, making a variety of different changes in an effort to provide a better experience.

In this upcoming update, the developers will introduce Events to the game, a new feature that marks the “first step towards our multiplayer gameplay” that includes various competitions for players to compete against each other in. For this snapshot, the developers will kick off the Weekly Fishing Events, where the goal is to catch as many fish as you can while completing various weekly objectives in order to earn points to climb the leaderboard. By competing to be the best in these fishing competitions, you’ll be in for a chance at earning coupons and other rewards while securing whitelist spots the Genesis Chest NFT mint. Thanks to the way the developers managed to implement this new feature, they’ll be able to set up new events without having to update the game every time they do so, with the team teasing that some future events could end up being made by some of the game’s most active players.

With this upcoming update, players will be able to log in using their social media account, with player nickname, event scores and other info saved to the account, allowing players to “seamlessly continue your island adventure across multiple devices and connect with your paradise friends.”

Next to the Events feature, new quests, characters and UI improvements are also included, while the layout of the Alpha Island is getting updated.

The full details on this large release can be found in the official Medium post here.

According to the roadmap, the game is set to launch in beta sometime during the first half of this year.
