PancakeSwap has announced the official launch of Pancake Protectors, a play-to-earn tower defense game powered by the MOBOX GameFi platform.

The browser-based title initially released in beta earlier this month, and after a week of testing, the developers officially released the game on May 29, and started with it Season 1, which comes with exclusive $10k $CAKE rewards distributed to the top 1000 players across 2 different leaderboards: the Competitive Ranking Board and the Consumption Ranking Board. Next to this, there is also a Seasonal Lottery, where players have a chance of earning NFT rewards by entering with lottery tickets, which can be earned by playing the game. There will be a lottery every season, and in this particular case, some of the potential rewards that you could get include a Pancake Legendary MOMO, Exclusive NFT, Normal NFT and more. These NFTs make the heroes you place in missions stronger, so long as the heroes have the NFT equipped. 

Next to potentially earning $CAKE, the game also integrates the token of one of the most popular DEXes in various ways, adding new use cases that include spending the token on features that’ll let you to make progress faster, as well as buying Gold, the game’s in-game currency, in order to recruit more heroes sooner, as well as purchase CAKE Heroes, which are currently the only tradable heroes in the game’s Trading Center. If you own NFTs from PancakeSwap’s official NFT collections, Pancake Bunnies and Squads, then you can use those NFTs to upgrade your heroes, giving you an advantage over other players.
