Xterio, a blockchain gaming developer and publisher backed by Binance Labs, has published a new teaser trailer for their upcoming free-to-play cross-platform sandbox RPG, Overworld.

Earlier this month, the developers posted a 30-second trailer that gives us a glimpse at the expansive 3D world that we’ll be able to jump into and enjoy together, hopefully in the near future. While an official timeframe for when we can expect the full game to go live is not available, a tweet last month reveals that there will be a “web experience” releasing in the lead-up to the full launch.

In any case, what is known for sure that throughout the coming months this year, we will get a first look at various characters and locations, according to the latest official post containing the new trailer. Next to this visually focused content, it seems we can also expect to see in-engine gameplay footage as well. Here’s hoping we’ll get to see a quality and fun blockchain-backed gaming experience.

Overworld is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer sandbox RPG in which players will explore a player-driven world featuring anime-inspired visuals. There will be isometric PvE and PvP gameplay, customizable characters, land governance for the creation of territories and content, mercenaries and god summons, and a blockchain-backed game economy in which players will trade, collect and craft various items. The game is in development for Windows, Mac, and Android devices. The developer, Xterio Games, raised an incredible amount of $40 million in 2022 for the creation of cross-platform blockchain games. The funding didn’t stop there, as Binance Labs invested $15 million into the company last year.
