The developers of Novopangea, a blockchain strategy game, have announced the release of Speed Ups in a recent game update.

This new feature allows players to stake their unused high-end cards in order to reduce the time it takes to upgrade storage or fully rest a Skilled Worker. While it’s not possible to stack multiple cards onto a certain asset at the time of writing, it is possible to reuse the same card again without any restriction. The eligible cards include Gold Promo Cards released last year; Epic, Legendary and Mythic Cards from the Chapter 1 Drop as well as Museum Cards from the Sketch Card Drops.

Staking an Epic Card will reduce the time it takes to complete a certain process by 12%, Mythic Cards reduce it the highest, by 50%, while Legendary, Gold Promos and Museum Cards will lower the time by 25%.

The end of the post reveals that the developers are looking to release Realm Permits soon, with more info on the upcoming update to be given soon.

The play-and-earn title runs on the WAX blockchain and has players build an empire on their own land plot while forming alliances and earning Obsidian ($OBSD), an in-game currency that will be gained in different ways, such as by selling resources and more. According to the roadmap, PvP is set to be released in Q1 next year, while $OBSD and the governance token, $NOVO, are scheduled to launch in Q4 this year.
