NFT Battle Miners, a browser-based space MMO on the WAX blockchain, is heading into Season 4 of Shadow Depths on April 12th with a prize pool said to be worth around $30k.
Season 4 Pass
In the lead-up to the start of the season, the developers will hold a pre-sale of the Season 4 Pass from April 2nd to April 4th, for the price of $34.99 in WAX tokens on the NeftyBlocks marketplace. The regular sale seems set to follow on April 10th, when interested players will be able to buy the Pass for $36.99 using WAX tokens.
In any case, both the standard and the pre-sale Pass give you premium access to around $30k worth of prizes. Specifically, some of the benefits that the Pass provides includes double the token rewards when selling and dismantling items, allowing you to get the full sell price of the items you dismantle and sell without having the need to get to a certain rank. This Pass also reduces damage to equipment while making token stacks automatically 2 times bigger and allowing you to start with an advanced ship that comes with a molecular printer level 2, warehouse level 2 and T.O9 multitasking level 2. Material and Token compressors level 3 are also included, and so are 2 additional safe pockets. A unique teleportation system is included as well so that you can backup various items during missions.
More goodies are said to be included with the Pass, and the only difference between the Pre-sale and the Standard pass (aside from the price) is the End-of-Season Booster: with a Pre-sale Pass, you have a 50% chance of getting a 2% or 3% Booster, while the Standard Pass gives you a 50% chance getting a 1% Booster, while the chances for a 2% or 3% Booster are lowered to 25%.
Season Update Details
When it comes to updates for this 4th season, the team revealed that the “primary focus has been on refining the gameplay experience, as Shadow Depths serves as an entry point for new players.” That being said, adjustments to token generation within SD have been made so as to make Arcadian mining serve as the main source of tokens. Meanwhile the pass is now focused on offering in-game item rewards and WAXP as a way to combat the game’s NFT inflation problem, thus removing most of the NFT prizes.
New features are also making their way to this season, alongside many different changs and improvements to help provide a more rewarding gameplay experience. Full details can be found in the official Medium post linked at the end of the Twitter thread below.
