The studio of blockchain adventure game Mines of Dalarnia (MoD) has been hard at work at on its open Web3 gaming infrastructure, the DAR Open Network, which represents the home of the Dalarnia Multiverse, an ecosystem of blockchain games. In part 3 of their articles series titled “DAR Open Network Series #2: Dalarnia Multiverse,” the team has revealed a gamified social platform: Dalarnia Nexus.

What Is Dalarnia Nexus?

Dalarnia Nexus is a gamified social platform that will serve as an entry point to the team’s gaming multiverse. Through this central social hub, gamers will be able to enjoy a variety of activities. These include creating their own customizable Avatar while setting up their own personal space referred to as BASE. In the BASE, players can craft new items using resources from MoD while using NFTs from other games and unlocking exclusive customization items. You will have the option to visit and invite friends over to BASE.

In the social hub, players will also be able to unlock new features by completing various quests and more.

Main Features

The main features of this social platform include BASE ownership, asset interoperability, AI agents, a progression system, and an autonomous, community-driven world.

By creating a DAR ID, a player is assigned their own private BASE to use in various ways as previously described. According to the announcement, this personal space is not like Land NFTs in other blockchain games, so you won’t need to purchase a BASE to have ownership.

With asset interoperability being one of the key features, the Nexus will be capable of seamlessly integrating various game assets in order to allow players to customize their BASE with NFTs from other projects.

The progression system allows players to level up their DAR ID account level by completing quests that will require playing games on the platform. Increasing the DAR ID account level will lead to unlocking new features and content.

In the social platform, you will be able to encounter AI agents, each of which are designed for a certain goal, such as the Mines of Dalarnia Tutorial Bot who can answer questions about the ecosystem.

According to the announcement, the blockchain-backed social hub is an autonomous world whose “entire appearance and outcome are crafted by the players’ vision and actions” thanks to support of BASE customization features and user-generated content. This makes it so that the community “holds the reins of this virtual realm.”
