Midnight Society has launched the DCM Summer Showdown for its vertical extraction shooter game, DEADROP. The event, running from May 28th to August 20th, invites creators to design custom modes in DEADROP Creator Mode. Players can engage with the community and developers, showcasing their creativity.

During the showdown, all players can join and win through mini-events, community playtest nights, and giveaways. Whether creating or playing, there's something for everyone. Creators have until August 20th to submit their modes, with the community voting on the top four. Each of these modes will host a mini-event with a $500 prize pool.

The final rankings of the top four modes will be decided by the MS dev team. The prizes are as follows: 1st place wins $500, 2nd place gets $250, 3rd place receives $150, and 4th place earns $100. All four finalists will also get a one-on-one session with a developer to refine their modes. Entrants can submit multiple entries, but incomplete or non-compliant submissions will be disqualified.

Throughout the summer, Midnight Society will also hold various giveaways on their Discord channel. Prizes include DEADROP merchandise, crates, and more. For full details and participation, players should visit Midnight Society's Discord server.

Winners will be notified via Twitter or email. The sponsor, Midnight Society, reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest due to unauthorized interventions. The winner should handle all associated taxes and expenses related to the prize.
