Free-to-play action RPG Lost Relics has received a new update this month introducing a variety of improvements alongside a new game mode: Echoes of Time.

What Is Echoes of Time?

Echoes of Time is a new game mode that challenges you to beat new adventures within a certain time limit. It brings 4 new adventures in Inverdhen that can be played normally as standard runs, or in the form of the new time rush mode.

To start a run in this mode, you’ll first need to complete a quest in Inverdhen to unlock the mode, after which you need an initial Sigil from Thornix Stonecarver that you can use as many times as you want, so long as you don’t die. If you manage to beat the clock, the Sigil is replaced with a higher tier, thus unlocking the next tier level. Each higher tier comes with stronger monsters, making consumables essential for these challenging attempts. According to the announcement, the new update introduces a couple of new items that are also said to be useful for this mode.

Tiers & Rewards

All 4 new adventures have a total of 4 tiers to progress through: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. A weekly Time Chest is available as a reward for completing any tier in any of these adventures, with players able to win 1 Time Chest per week. This Time Chest is rewarded based on the highest-rarity adventure that you manage to complete during the week alongside the rarity of the completed tier. The announcement clarifies with an example: if you complete up to Gold Tier in Epic but then manage to also beat Bronze in Legendary, you’ll be rewarded with a Bronze Legendary Time Chest.

A total of 16 different Time Chests can be earned from this mode, with each higher tier Time Chest bringing potentially rarer prizes.

The game mode also features a weekly leaderboard where the top 3 players in each rarity get a bonus reward at the end of the week, with the biggest prize here said to be the Timemaster’s Chest.

Details on everything included in this update can be found in the official announcement.
