Darkbright, the developer of blockchain life sim RPG Smolbound, has published a short teaser of their official trailer that is planned to be revealed at some point during this April.

What Is Smolbound?

Smolbound is described as the “world’s first ever-growing" life sim RPG, “with a Smol twist.” In development by Darkbright, the project surfaced on Twitter/X last month, with their first tweet on March 11th teasing an adventure in "a new fantastical world ripe for exploration.” The tweet received support from people leading various departments of the Treasure ecosystem, including Treasure co-founder Karel Vuong and Head of Marketing, @Sambino, who revealed that developer Darkbright is Treasure’s first-party studio.

Aside from these details, not much info seems to be available on the game itself at the time of writing, with one of the game’s developers who goes by the name @PurplezSnow on Twitter stating that the latest footage is “not just a one-off clip,” but a teaser story that is connected with the game’s lore. Future events are also said to tie into the lore in one way or another. In another tweet by Treasure co-founder John Patten, it’s been revealed that the former lead on MMORPG Guild Wars 2, referred to as Spooky, is co-designing this blockchain title together with Purple, with the two said to have netted $2 billion across the games they’ve worked on.
