Free-to-play card & board game Legends of Elysium is getting a new update that introduces new cards and sound alongside various improvements.

What’s Included in the New Update?

In the latest update to this fantasy Web3 title, the developers have revealed that they are adding not only new cards and sound effects, but also a daily login bonus, testnet referral program, card payments implementation, USDC integration for in-game purchases, and a host of improvements and balancing changes all in an effort to create a better, more diverse gameplay experience.

New Cards & Sound Effects

The game is getting 3 new cards for players to get through special events. According to the update post, the cards “promise exciting interactions and tactics that will keep you engaged and challenged,” opening up potential new tactics to use in outsmarting your opponent.

Next to adding new cards, the developers have improved overall audio by adding new sound effects (SFX), making every interaction with the game more immersive.

Daily Login Bonus & Referral Program

By logging in every day, you will be able to earn Elytronite thanks to the new daily login bonus designed to keep players coming back to the game every day. A testnet referral program has also been introduced, through which you can earn Elytronite rewards by having your referred friends reach certain levels. These are testnet rewards however, so it doesn’t seem like it will be possible to transfer your rewards over to the mainnet in the future.

Card Payments Implementation & USDC Integration

When the game officially goes live on mainnet, the developers will implement card payments, making it possible to buy card packs and other in-game assets using your card. This will make the game more accessible to a wider audience, especially to Web2 gamers who may not be used to the world of crypto.

The team has also integrated USDC for the mainnet beta version, making it possible for players to make in-game purchases using the stablecoin. In the future however, based on the patch notes, this option will be replaced by the game’s official token once it is released. Until then, USDC will stay as the in-game payment option players can use to conveniently buy in-game items.
