After listing its $LRT token on MEXC and Uniswap, developer INFINITE8 is now set to launch sci-fi third-person shooter LandRocker in Season Zero Warm-Up on Thursday, May 30th in which players will be able to compete for a total prize pool of 20 million $LRT tokens + $5000 USDT.

Launch Details

This marks the game’s first public launch on Immutable that everyone will be able to enjoy as a free-to-play PC title. Players will get to battle aliens on various planets while completing missions and liberating the universe from their control. Based on the gameplay trailer shown in the official tweet, players will be able to use jetpacks to traverse diverse environments while facing boss fights and varied enemies in action-packed combat. Aliens range from spider-like land monsters to flying creatures.

Next to walking on foot and using a jetpack, players will also be able to control what seems to be a terraforming vehicle that can destroy terrain, possibly to be used for mining certain resources, as the trailer does tease that players should conquer planets “to prepare for mining.” Outside of planets, it’ll be possible to control a spaceship to travel from one planet to another.

Prizes

The first 10k players to jump in this season will be rewarded with a special Pioneer Badge. Details on it seem under wraps for now, with the announcement tweet teasing that it will bring “future benefits.”

The total prize pool of 20 million $LRT tokens and $5000 USDT will be distributed through a points-based leaderboard. It’s unclear how many players will be rewarded, but what is known is that you can earn points by killing aliens and capturing bases. Won’t be long before we learn more about the leaderboard, though!
