Web3 modular grand prix party game Kart Party is getting its first alpha test this month, according to last week’s announcement, with this week bringing us new details on the schedule as well as info on how to participate.
Test Details
While proper testing actually takes place from May 15th to May 30th, holders of YKZ NFTs will have a 4-day window, from May 10th to May 14th, to claim invitation codes that grant access to this round of testing that is said to feature “substantial rewards” not specifically revealed. YKZ NFTs come in the form of 700 licenses that are said to provide privileges such as airdrops of in-game tokens and future NFTs, alongside bonus rewards when winning, more rewards for staking, early access to upcoming content and priority access to beta releases. The collection is available on OpenSea and Blur, with the latter currently having a lower floor price of 0.63 $ETH at the time of writing.
This week’s announcement also states that everyone has the chance to find access codes in the game’s official Discord server, so it might be worth hoping in and testing your luck while there’s still time.
If you do gain access, you can look forward to competitive racing where you will have 15 days to collect as many points as you can in order to rank at the top of the leaderboard. Following 2 days of score calculations after testing is over, the team will announce the official rankings on June 2nd and likely distribute the rewards, with a bonus airdrop tied to performance planned to occur at some point during next month.
