After announcing the launch of Illuvium: Beyond, the developers have now revealed details on the point system that will be used in the upcoming collectible card game that is releasing on March 7th at 8 AM UTC.
Fully explained in their official article linked in the tweet down below, the way the point system works is that players will get to earn Album Points by maximizing the Power Ratings of their Illuvitars, ranking up and climbing a leaderboard in the process, with the leaderboard displaying the top 100 players of the game.
The Illuvitars players collect will be visible in the Album, where it’s possible to see collections based on categories such as tiers, and by finishing various milestones in a collection, it’s possible to earn more Album Points. These points are important for ranking up and climbing the leaderboard, with each rank requiring a certain number of points. The ranks to climb through are Bronze (minimum 1 point), Silver (at least 10k points), Gold (50k points), Platinum (250k points) and Diamond (1 million points).
An Illuvitar’s Power Rating is based on the “base rarity multiplied with the accessories the player has chosen to bond.” Essentially, the rarer the bonded accessories, the higher the rating. The rarity of the expression, finish, portrait and background of the Illuvitar also increase the Power Rating.
Meanwhile, the first season of Illuvium: Zero has been delayed in order to give alpha testers more time to try out a new marketplace feature that is set to release in a future update.
