The new 2024 roadmap for free-to-play TCG Gods Unchained has now been unveiled, giving us a broad overview at some of the milestones the team plans to complete over the course of this year.

A couple of exciting additions are teased in this new pipeline, including a mobile launch, new expansions, game modes, and more. According to the announcement, the roadmap is said to be “inspired by the unwavering spirit and asks of our community” and that it is a “further reflection” of the studio’s continuous commitment to listening to player feedback. No specific timeframes have been given, and what’s listed does not represent everything that the developers have in store for the community this year, “so stay tuned to our channels to find out more.”

Among the list of milestones is work on a server logic re-write that is set to bring improved performance while solving various technical problems, so expect to experience smoother gameplay throughout the coming months. Next to that, a new progression system is also on the way, set to resemble an improvement over the existing one by making your time spent in the game feel more “rewarding and satisfying than ever before.” You can also expect chests to migrate to L2 at some point in the following months, making transactions “more streamlined and accessible for you.”

Mobile Version & Expansions

The team is teasing that the highly-anticipated mobile release “is right around the corner!” If you’ve been wanting to play on the go and “literally [choose] your battleground,” then this is the year you’ve been waiting for. New major expansions have also been teased to be making their way this year, introducing new cards, new characters, new mechanics, and “new revelations.”

Game Modes & Mythic Variants

New game modes are on the way to further test your tactical prowess in a variety of different ways. No specifics have been given, except that the new modes will test your strategic thinking and have your mind get “stretched even further.”

Mythic Variants are said to be exclusive versions of Tides of Fate Legendaries featuring unique art and frames. You can expect them to be given away “through various engaging mechanics,” but that earning them will be no simple feat. Details on how you can earn these collectibles will be revealed soon.
