Following up on the launch of the Feed and Fetch mini-games, the Genopets team is back with Status Report #021 in which they talk about improving these Nurture mini-games, while sharing details on various exciting new developments they have made so far.

In the upcoming v0.5.1 update, the team will be making changes to the 2 new mini-games as a result of community feedback. Most have complained about the difficulty of these new pet-related mini-games, with the team revealing that the average success rate at launch was around 50%. As the developers are aiming to make this 90%, they will be releasing an update to the move-to-earn app that will include changes that will make these mini-games simpler and easier to complete.

The changes include increasing the hitbox size, decreasing the speed of the indicators as well as adding value ratings onto each item so you know what’s the best Food and Toy to use to increase your Genopet’s Nutrition and Joy. If you have multiple of the Food or Toy that you used, you’ll soon be able to play a mini-game again using the same item thrown, removing the inconvenience of having to scroll through your items again. They’re also introducing Practice Items so you can avoid wasting your Toys and Food, giving you room to practice the mini-games before throwing the actual items.

In the latest status report, it’s also been mentioned that Augmentation is officially in testing, and that they’re working on a Genodex Changing Room which you can see in the above image. This room will serve as a place for trying out different colors and Augments, so you’ll be able to know “exactly what you want to Craft or buy off Magic Eden.”
