After giving us sneak peeks of the Nurture mini-games in Status Report #020 earlier this month, Feed and Fetch are now officially live in Genopets.

These mini-games add new gameplay to the move-to-earn app for players to enjoy. They bring more ways to interact with your Genopet, as now you can not only pet your walking companion to make the pet feel more loved and thus better at turning steps into Energy, but you can now also feed it and play fetch with it through 2 separate but somewhat similar mini-games. Feeding your pet leads to an increase in Nutrition, and maybe even Joy depending on which Food you feed it, while Fetch increases the pet’s Joy by accurately throwing Toys.

To play these new mini-games, you will need to have Food for Feed and Toys for Fetch. Both items are attainable by banking your steps. Once you have them, you can click at the corresponding icon in the top left corner of your mobile screen, and choose which item you would like to use. If it’s the Feed mini-game, you’ll be choosing Food such as strawberries, nuts, lollipops and so on, while the Fetch mini-game requires Toys such as Frisbees. Once you’ve chosen an item, you can begin playing. The Feed mini-game requires you to swipe your finger upwards and release it at the right time in order to make a good throw. You can check it out in action in the tutorial video in the tweet down below.

It’s a similar case with the Fetch mini-game, except that here you pull the finger back and need to make sure you are aiming in the right direction before releasing the toy at the right time. See it in action in the following tweet:

These mini-games currently do not have an effect on how efficiently your Genopet converts steps, but they will at some point in the future.
