The developers of Generative Dungeon, a community-driven NFT RPG, have brought holders the ability to transform their 2D experience into 3D gameplay thanks to the alpha release of Generative Quests.

With this new feature, holders of 2D dungeons can now turn the NFT image of the dungeon into a 3D one, providing a beautiful top-down action RPG experience. This process of converting the dungeon to 3D is done automatically, meaning that you can continue to customize your dungeon in 2D as before, while a 3D map of the 2D layout gets created on its own.

If you want to see what a 3D version of your 2D dungeon looks like in action, you’ll have to download the new game client called Generative Quests. Through this client, you’ll be able to play a 3D rendition of the dungeon you own, with Unreal Engine 5 being the game engine used for the 3D version. The visual difference when compared to the standard 2D, pixelated versions of dungeon NFTs is quite massive, but is certainly a welcome addition for Dungeon owners who can now enjoy their creation in a completely new way through the new downloadable game client. For now, it seems like only holders themselves can play 3D versions of their own dungeons, while 2D dungeons can still be played for free on the game’s official website.
