Gaming ecosystem and launchpad Gamestarter has announced the introduction of GameChain, their very own upcoming Avalanche-powered Layer 1 network.

What Is GameChain?

GameChain is the ecosystem’s new Layer 1 network made in partnership with Avalanche. Designed for gamers and game developers, the chain features user-friendly SDKs and built-in cross-bridge functionality to enable seamless asset transfers between various networks. Created in collaboration with Ava Labs and Ava Cloud, the gaming-focused chain is said to provide a secure and transparent environment for transactions, made possible by one of the most popular blockchains.

Benefits

The Avalanche-based Layer 1 blockchain will now represent the foundation of the pioneering Web3 gaming ecosystem, making it simple for developers to launch blockchain games by providing intuitive SDKs that make it easy to integrate blockchain features into Web3 games by removing the complicated aspects of blockchain development to give teams more time to focus on delivering a quality gaming experience. Next to bringing developers tools that allow them to focus more on gameplay while worrying less about the blockchain side of things, the network also comes with integrated cross-bridge functionality to make it easy to transfer various assets across different networks, with info on the supported blockchains currently unavailable at the time of writing.

Powering the network are GameNodes, designed to support the chain’s uptime by validating and adding transactions while rewarding node holders with $GAME tokens and tokens from future IDO launches on GamePad, the rebranded name of the Gamestarter launchpad. This is said to be a community-centric approach that brings “unparalleled utility & rewards for holders.” Specifically, 25% of the total supply of $GAME will be distributed as rewards to node holders, who will also be eligible to receive up to 10% of tokens from upcoming IDO launches. Alongside these rewards, holders will also receive 35% of all on-chain transaction fees.

Gamestarter is focused on delivering high-quality gaming content to the new platform, with the announcement revealing that more than 50 games are planned to launch in their ecosystem. Their own in-house development team, GGXYZ, is also working on releasing 3 games: MMORPG Dark Frontiers, battle royale OverTrip, and a casual mobile game called Pixel Pix.

Infrastructure Expansion: GameHub, GameID, GameSocial, and GameScan

New products are on their way as part of an infrastructure expansion referred to as v3 of the ecosystem. These new additions include GameHub, GameID, GameSocial and GameScan.

GameHub will be a new game launcher through which you will be able to enjoy select Web3 games, providing seamless game access while delivering smooth asset transactions and safe wallet connections. It will be soon available for download on Windows and Mac and will utilize GameID for account registration. GameID is an account management system that aims to make Web3 gaming simpler by introducing universal login, simplified wallet operations and easier in-game asset tracking.

GameSocial is a community-focused platform built using the studio’s Play2Immerse concept, which is designed to engage the community with interactive quests, leaderboards and rewards. According to the official page, $1 million worth of airdrops are planned to be distributed on this new platform throughout 2024.

GameScan is an anti-cheat security feature that uses advanced machine learning to detect cheaters in-game, with real-world data used over time to help the AI constantly improve its detection techniques. Developers will be able to easily integrate the adaptable AI tech to deliver a fairer gameplay experience.

More detailed information on what to expect from GameChain will be revealed in the coming months.
