Gala Games has surprised its community with the revival of blockchain TCG Legends Reborn by announcing a new developer and teasing a release for March this year.

Development Changes

After a tumultuous 2023 for the game’s development, Gala Games is not giving up on the anticipated Web3 title that had already made considerable progress before development had to suddenly pause because the original developer, Kung Fu Factory, surprisingly closed down. The game has already undergone several alpha playtests in 2022, followed by even more testing sessions in 2023 when the game was listed on Steam as an Early Access title.

Considering that the NFT deck builder has “fostered such excitement within the community,” Gala Games has found a new development team to take over the reigns: Clash Craft Studios. They will be working on bringing the game to the Gala Games platform, meaning that it will be live on GalaChain, with the recent issue of Gala’s “Latest and Greatest” revealing that they plan to release it next month.

Anyone interested can still purchase Creature Packs and Epic Creature Packs for a limited time on the Gala Games store, while supplies last. Every pack is said to include a ritual stone through which you can set up a team of creature tokens of higher rarity.

Since a new studio is now leading the project, all of the previous plans that were set for the game could potentially change, with Gala’s official post stating that utility “will be ascribed to all existing tokens, and new tokens will be sold as well through the Gala Games store.” More details on the on gameplay, in-game economy, sales and more will be given in the future. A specific release date is set to be revealed in the coming days.
