Avalanche-backed free to play party shooter RoboKiden, previously known as Project ST before the rebrand and acquisition by Elixir Games, has announced a free mint of 999 Misfits is coming for whitelisted users on July 30th at 5 PM CET.

What Are Misfits?

RoboKiden Misfits is an NFT collection on Ethereum inspired by the Web3 game’s original 6 characters and pop culture elements. Next to each NFT having unique attributes, owning an asset from this collection is also rewarded with a $KIDEN token airdrop once Web3 features are integrated into the fast-paced online shooter. This NFT also gives you a premium in-game lootbox on launch to help you begin earning $KIDEN tokens straight away. Aside from these benefits, an exclusive Discord role is also given, as well as access to certain giveaways and Elixir Games products reserved only for NFT owners.

How to Participate in This Free Mint

To have a chance at securing a spot for this free mint, you’ll have to pre-register on the mint page of the game’s official website and become an active and helpful member of their Discord server while participating in various events and social media giveaways. If you end up getting access, you will have the opportunity to mint for free on Ethereum through the OpenSea marketplace. While the NFT itself is free, you’ll probably still need to have enough ETH to pay for the gas fees.

Play and Earn in Early Access With the Elixir Season Pass

Last month, RoboKiden launched in Early Access on the Elixir Games Launcher, and while it initially required an exclusive code to play, that quickly changed with the launch of the new Elixir Season Pass on July 4th, which allows anyone to jump in for free to start completing quests and participating in various activities to earn points until September 5th for a chance at winning a share of the $500k $KIDEN prize pool. Here’s how the reward pool is allocated:

Weekly Leaderboards from Gameplay-Focused Quests – $195,750 ($21,750 each week)
Raffles – $34,800
Referrals – $56,250
Ecosystem Quests – $216,750

To participate in this fully free to play season which ends on September 5th, you’ll have to download the Elixir Games Launcher and create an account in order to download the colorful action-packed Windows PC game to your library and begin enjoying third-person gameplay as one of 6 customizable characters while using a myriad of crazy weapons and deploying useful bots to support your team and disrupt the opposing side’s plans. Each team also has a giant mech that can be activated to unleash powerful attacks to help turn the tide and win the round. Next to PC, the game is set to launch on Xbox Series X, PS5 and Nintendo Switch in the future.

Weekly Leaderboards

There are gameplay-focused quests that range from knocking out players 20 times to destroying a certain number of turrets built by your opponents. Completing these quests is rewarded with points called Trophies, and you’ll need to get as many of them as you can each week to rank in the top 10 on the weekly leaderboards. The total ladder prizes are $195,750, and a portion of this reward pool is distributed every week. This means that each week, a total of $21,750 is being given away to the top 5000 players, with the top 10 receiving the following:

3rd Place: $600
4th Place: $500
5th Place: $450
6th Place: $400
7th Place: $350
8th Place: $250
9th Place: $200
10th Place: $150

Raffles

As you accumulate more Trophies, you get to progress through the Season Pass, earning lottery tickets for reaching certain milestones. These tickets can be used to enter raffles, for which a total of $34,800 worth of tokens has been allocated. There are 2 raffles you can join every week, and it is said that there will be a “final season” on September 5th that will feature $30k worth of prizes, according to the announcement.

Referrals

You can also earn tickets and Fame Points by getting referrals who level up through the battle pass. Rank among the top 25 players with the most Fame Points each week to earn from a weekly reward pool of $6250.

Ecosystem Quests

If you happen to complete the whole Season Pass, you can still continue beating various missions that range from buying in-game boxes to upgrading characters and more. By doing so, you earn points that could help you win a $KIDEN token airdrop.

How Are Prizes Distributed?

Players who win prizes across any of the reward categories will have their tokens gradually unlocked depending on whether specific milestones are reached. Each milestone unlocks 10% of the rewards. The following is a list of all the milestones the studio would like to reach, but the prizes will all eventually be delivered even if some of the milestones are not completed.
