Vermillion Studios and Duckland Games, in collaboration with Merit Circle, have released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming free-to-play social party game, Forgotten Playland.

Teaser Trailer

Through this short but cute trailer, we get a look at the game’s charming 3D attic, in which gamers will be able to play as small toy characters called Plushies. There will be a variety of mini-games to enjoy throughout this abandoned area, but there will also be a Social Hub in which you’ll be able to hang out with other players as well as team up to have some fun together.

The teaser contains a glimpse of 3 thematic areas that players will be able to spend their time in: the Jungle Camp, Space Disco, and Beach Bar. One of the mini-games briefly shown in the trailer but also visible on the official website is called Bump-A-Ball, where 2-4 players try to knock each other off a wooden table platform that gets cut by blades, thus reducing the amount of movable space for an even greater challenge.

Outside of varied mini-games, players will be able to customize their Plushies at the Customization Station, which is said to offer “deep customization options,” as it will be possible to adjust up to 6 different traits: head, eyes, neck, arms, legs, and skin.

Release Info

According to an official tweet, the game is scheduled to release in Q1 2024 with 2 mini-games, with more underway afterwards. One of the mini-games is the previously-mentioned Bump-A-Ball, while the second mini-game, according to an official Medium post, is Jungle Rumble, where the goal is to survive a jungle-themed area full off obstacles to avoid, such as smashing hammers and dinosaurs spitting fire.

The game is set to officially launch on Beam, a gaming-focused community-driven network by Merit Circle DAO.
