The Forge Arena, headed by former OPSkins leader Artur 'm1nac' Minacov, would be accessible to the Epic Games Store's 30 million+ active players after a supposed 5-year development period.

The rollout of the Epic Game will occur in stages, each offering a limited number of keys to players. This also implies that there will be no wallet or NFT requirements to play the Forge Arena so that everyone may enjoy the game at no cost.

The Forge Arena will soon be available on the Epic Games Launcher. For a limited time only, players can play on the brand new terrain, Island.

All players participating in the playtest will get the “Epic Kill” skin either the AK or M4 as a free commemorative unique weapon skin for their effort and time.

After the demo ends, all servers will be taken down until the game is ready to roll out and debut on the Epic Games Launcher.

What about Cryptocurrency Wallets and NFTs?

Creating a wallet and acquiring an NFT to access the game was a major challenge at the time. Since the game won't need a wallet to play, they need to find a means to make it easier for players to use skins.

Still, a wallet is needed to use skins in-game; therefore, they're developing a system that makes creating a wallet as simple as clicking a few buttons at no cost to the user.

Launch Date

The Forge Arena's forthcoming closed beta, powered by Epic, will roll out in stages over the course of the coming months until the game's open beta debuts in June 2023 at E3 in Los Angeles. The current alpha phase ended on 1st October, and the game is scheduled to launch on the Epic Games Store in December 2022.
