After launching an overhauled website and releasing the 2024 roadmap, space metaverse Everdome has now shared new details with the first in a 3-post series explaining the team’s goals for the coming months.

What Is the Roadmap Focused On?

Instead of using the traditional milestone-based model, the developers have opted for a flexible roadmap that is focused on 5 key business goals, also referred to as key results (OKRs) and objectives. These goals will be explained in detail in a series of 3 posts. For the first post, which is now published, the team has decided to elaborate on the first 2 goals: Stability & Scalability, and Engagement.

Stability & Scalability

This goal puts emphasis on creating a stable yet dynamic core that will serve as a strong foundation for future features. As such, some of the milestones for this goal include environment patching and enhancing the dev’s teck stack and infrastructure.

Next to these improvements, the team will also look to merge spaces into the Everdome City HQ environment, making it easier to make your way to metaverse destinations made by both the team and the community. Last but not least for this goal is the introduction of stats for spaces, meaning that both developers and community creators will have access to useful space usage stats to help with creating better metaverse experiences.

Engagement

As the name implies, this goal is all about introducing new features that help keep users coming back to this sci-fi world. To achieve this, the team plans on introducing new HQ experiences and areas, so you can expect a completely new area of the HQ to make its way in the future. There are also plans to combine small creator areas and provide larger spaces that have room for a higher number of users.

Themed games in the HQ are also in the works and include interactive activities, contests and games. New and upgraded Avatars are in development, and so are new types of spaces aimed at supporting events such as interactive talks, pitches, film presentations, panel discussions and more, including “spaces that can be adjusted to fit varying audience sizes.”

AI tools are planned to be worked on in order to allow for faster metaverse development, with new event management features also on the way in an effort to make hosting live events inside spaces easier, adding in password protections and more to set the base for paid ticketed events.

An enhanced creator toolkit is set to launch during this year in order to give more creative freedom for creators of all types to build their desired experience using new assets, colors and more.
