XSET, an esports and gaming lifestyle Boston-based organization has officially announced that they have signed one of the most popular content creators in blockchain gaming, Bryce Johnson, known as Brycent, to spearhead the brand’s initiative to expand into Web3 gaming.

This seems to be the first time a traditional esports-focused company has ever signed a Web3 gaming-focused content creator, marking a significant step forward in bringing blockchain gaming to a wider audience. Through this new partnership, according to the press release, both sides will work together in their quest to focus on expanding “creator driven narratives” while introducing Web3 community tools to the organization’s fanbase, educating people about underrepresented communities both in traditional gaming and in Web3, and more.

The CEO of XSET, Greg Selkoe, said the following in the press release:

Brycent is rigorous in his advocacy for the intersection of gaming and Web3. His passion to educate and inspire the gaming community combined with his authenticity and work ethic make him the perfect addition to XSET.”

Brycent is a former software engineer who went on to become popular as a Web3 content creator in 2021 during the Axie Infinity hype, later on branching out to become “one of the most established Web3 gaming advocates, content creators, and streamers in the world.” As a result, XSET deemed Bryce as a perfect fit for their expansion into Web3 gaming through numerous means that include but are not limited to product development, content creation and more.

The Boston-based gaming and lifestyle brand launched in 2020 and includes a range of esports teams across various different games, including Rocket League, Valorant, Fortnite, Warzone and more. By signing Bryce Johnson, the famous Web3 gamer will be included into various XSET brand campaigns as well as be “regularly integrated into activations, content, and more.”

Bryce Johnson added the following:
