Earlier this week, Enjin officially announced the largest migration of NFTs from Ethereum to have ever taken place so far, with 200 million assets successfully transferred from the popular PoS network over to the recently-launched NFT Layer 1 network, the Enjin Blockchain.

Migration Details

According to the press release, this huge migration included assets from thousands of creators, among which are even Microsoft, thus showing how the tech industry is further looking towards increased “blockchain efficiency and scalability.”

The Chief Operating Officer of Atlas, Enjin Contributor, Rene Stefancic, said the following:

"Enjin's migration from its legacy solutions exemplifies the community's dedication to progress in its pursuit of mass-market success. Only through continuous innovation, superior technology, and, most importantly, an unwavering commitment to user experience, can Web3 tap into the three billion-strong global gamer market."

If you’re among those holders who have been waiting for this significant moment in Enjin’s history, then your time has come: you can now easily claim your transferred assets, both fungible and non-fungible tokens from Ethereum and JumpNet on the Enjin Blockchain by simply heading to the Enjin Wallet app, where you will see a banner stating how many assets you have ready to be claimed. Tapping this banner will take you to the migration screen, where you will be able to see how many assets each wallet address has, allowing you to claim them by selecting a destination address. If you want everything in one place, then you also have the option to transfer all assets to a single address using the available toggle option. You can then simply tap the “Claim” button to have all your goodies on the new chain, a process which may take a couple of hours depending on how many assets you’ve claimed. Make sure to update your app if you don’t see the claim option.

This process allows you to claim all assets you’ve owned before the snapshot was taken, which was on December 8th at 12:00 UTC. If you ended up getting Enjin-related assets after the snapshot was taken, then your collectibles have unfortunately not been transferred in this process.

Migration Benefits

The Enjin is set to enjoy a host of benefits as a result of this migration. By having assets on the new NFT-focused network, users will get to enjoy network-wide fuel tanks to enable free transactions for the next 3 months, while enforced on-chain royalties provide fair creator support coupled with a robust API and dev platform that makes it easy for mainstream games to integrate tokens and thus pivot to Web3.

The Enjin Blockchain is a “specialized NFT-centric fork of the Polkadot Network” that is built with games in mind to allow them to easily scale to a larger playerbase thanks to low transaction fees of only $0.005, a throughput of 5000 transactions per second, and minting of up to 2000 NFTs in a single transaction.
