Game development company Bright Star Studios has announced that its free-to-play MMORPG Ember Sword will be migrating from Polygon to Immutable X on June 8 this year.
Given the partnership with Immutable back in November last year, it’s no surprise to see this migration happening. The Ember Sword team said:
“We have many great reasons for this partnership — massive speed and responsiveness for transactions, increased accessibility, improved security, the ability to pay with a credit card, and more. Additionally, upon migration, badge holders will benefit from changing their ERC-1155 to non-fungible ERC-721, making each of them fully unique. All in all, this is another step towards making Ember Sword secure and, more importantly, accessible to as many people as possible.”
Come June 8, everyone who owns Ember Sword NFTs will be able to transfer their assets via this page on the game’s website.
If you own any Ember Sword NFT, you’ll definitely want to migrate as fast as you can, because a 20K IMX reward pool has been created together by both teams as “a little token of our appreciation.” For every NFT moved over to Immutable X, you’re rewarded with 1 IMX token, with a limit of 150 IMX tokens set per person, on a first come, first serve basis. The developers have also clarified “that we would never ask for your password or keys, nor would we ever communicate with asset holders outside of our official channels. Exercise due diligence in all matters related to your Ember Sword assets.”

Ember Sword is also hosting a month-long campaign this month featuring a couple of competitions with a total of up to 20 plots of land up for grabs.
