MoonLabs Studios has released a post on Medium to give players a better understanding of the Forge ahead of the Spring Forging event for their turn-based blockchain RPG, Devikins. The post offers a brief explanation of the four different types of Forges and how to obtain and use Forge Materials to craft weapons, equipment, skills, and more.
The four different Forges are as follows:
- Weapon Forge
- Equipment Forge
- Skill Forge
- Random Forge
Each Forge offers different rewards. For instance, the Weapon Forge provides random weapons while the Equipment and Skill forges provide equipment and skills respectively. The Random Forge, on the other hand, offers costumes, pet skins, weapon skins, and slot items such as chips and cartridges.
To use any of these four Forges, players need Forge Materials, which can be procured via Void Scraps or Dust. Dust can be obtained by scrapping unwanted items, or occasionally as part of event rewards such as Seasons and the Weekly League.
The post also mentions the drop chances for each rarity level, with Common having a 60% chance of dropping, Uncommon having a 29% chance, Rare with a 10% chance, Mythic a 0.95% chance, and Eldritch a tiny 0.05% chance.
The Random Forge also comes with a pity system, where for every 49 pulls without obtaining a Mythic or Eldritch item, the 50th pull is guaranteed to have one. If a player obtains a Mythic or Eldritch item before the pity system kicks in, the counter resets back to zero. While the pity system currently only affects the Random Forge, MoonLabs Studios intends to apply it to all Forges in the future.
