Deviants’ Faction, a play & earn trading card game available as a free-to-play NFT title, is getting updated with 4 new crafting cards representing enhanced versions of the base ones: Time Waster, Yellow Battleflag, First Grader, and Spy Flies.

According to the announcement, the team had a different lineup of crafting recipes in mind, but thanks to community feedback, Time Waster is being added ahead of Fast Map Toolkit in order to “prevent the dominance of the Awaken faction from taking root in the game.”

Time Waster

This is a new level for Time Waster that simultaneously protects its user and deals damage to enemy cards. It’s been added in instead of Fast Map Toolkit due to the community wanting to see better versions of mostly unused cards, according to the update post.

Yellow Battleflag

Yellow Battleflag L2 provides the player with a large HP bonus while increasing attack damage whenever an enemy gets taken out.

First Grader

This upgraded version of the First Grader lets you deal lots of damage, but whenever you attack, you are deducted -10 ATK. By keeping this loss of attack low, this card has a “destructive potential never seen before.”

Spy Flies

With this card, you not only have an automated condition that can award you with additional attack, but the opponent gets deducted -85 ATK straight away, making this card useful in a variety of different decks.

Overall, with these new cards, the team looks to alter the current metagame while continuing to provide balancing changes for an enjoyable experience.
