The studio behind blockchain trading card game Deviants’ Faction has announced the first Play-2-Airdrop event of 2024, planned to start sometime in February. 

Event Details 

By logging in to play the Web3 title next month, you’ll be automatically taking part in this upcoming airdrop event. The more matches you play, the higher share of the airdrop will you be set to receive. That’s all we know about this event for the time being, with the developers set to reveal more detailed information in the future. 

Onboarding Update 

Ahead of the event though, the team has pushed out a new update to make the onboarding experience for this year better than ever before. 

From now on, when a new player finishes Tutorial 4 and gets the first achievement, they will be rewarded with 25 VOL and 10 Playground Tournament Tickets. 

Next to that, in an effort to provide a clearer progression path that properly guides new players, this month will mark the introduction of new achievements aimed at doing just that: to guide players for a more accessible experience. Through these new achievements, players will be able to get a free NFT card, and a feel for the tournament system, as well as the “the posibility of crafting their first ULK card with only a few wins.” 

Because of this free NFT card reward, some changes are being made for the tournament system. Previously, Playground Tournaments and Street Tournaments needed 0 NFT cards, but now, the former will require 1 NFT card to enter, while the latter will need at least 2. 

More updates are also being made. Midway and Monthly tournaments, that include Playground and Street Tournaments, will now take place on the 15th and final day of each month, while Faction tournaments will now be synchronized with every month, with the faction changing on the first day of each month. Leagues will also be synchronized, ending on the final day of the month while starting at some point of the first week. 

Players can also now expect to see new crafting recipes every month before the end of a league, giving players 7-10 days to craft and try out new cards ahead of the start of a new league.
