The team behind free-to-play horse racing title Derby Stars has announced that the 0.11 update is launching on March 6th, introducing a revamp to horse retirement rewards and existing Daily Missions, while introducing new types of Daily Missions that each have their own prize pool.

New Daily Missions

The new Daily Missions are designed in such a way so that they can be easily completed by doing things such as contributing CRT, though the amount needed will now be a bit higher than before in order to “ encourage more active in-game participation.”

There are 4 new categories to get rewards from now: Horse Rarity Mission, Origin Holders, Strong Horses! and Horse Retirement (Basic & Advanced).

Horse Rarity Mission & Origin Holders

With the Horse Rarity Mission, players earn Mission Points depending on the rarity of their horses, including for ones rented out, but not for borrowed horses. SBT Horses (Non-Tradable Horses) are awarded half the points after rounding, while the daily reward pool is split into 3 Grades as seen in the above image.

The Origin Holders Mission works similarly to the previously-mentioned category, except for the fact that this one is specific to the rarity of Origin Horses, and the gap in scores is slightly lower in order to offer “some level of income even for those who own many Common Origin horses.” It’s also divided into 3 Grades with the same number of daily rewards for each. The Mission Points earned here cannot be applied to the previous category, and vice versa – each category is separate.

Strong Horses! & Horse Retirement (Basic & Advanced)

In the new “Strong Horses!” category, Missions Points are awarded to horses of high levels, and is not based on rarity. Players need to have a horse of at least level 30 in order to get 1 Mission Point, while 6 is awarded for horses of minimum level 60, while 20 Mission Points are given for horse level 70. Horses that are rented out also count, but borrowed ones do not.

The Horse Retirement Daily Mission is different from the previous ones in that it is actually divided into 2 categories: Basic and Advanced. Advanced requires double the amount of resources than the Basic one, but does come with double the rewards. This type of mission is designed to encourage players to use the horse retirement feature ”to increase the value of horses and thereby foster a healthier ecosystem.” As such, participating in the Basic category requires contributing 1000 CRT and 1 Diamond Dust to earn a share of the 1000 $DSRUN daily reward pool, while Advanced requires 2000 CRT and 2 Diamond Dusts but has a daily reward pool of 2000 $DSRUN. Diamond Dust can only be earned through horse retirement.

More Rewards

Next to these new categories, existing Daily Missions will have increased rewards, while rewards for the horse retirement feature have undergone an overhaul. The announcement does clarify though that “the criteria, amount of rewards, and mission items may be adjusted depending on the situation” with plans to make adjustments on the 1st of each month, though in the case of “extremely urgent situations,” it could happen on other days as well.
