Free-to-play horse racing Polygon-based title Derby Stars has been updated with the introduction of the new Meta System in the 0.9.7 update.

What Is the Meta System?

The Meta System allows registered horses in PvP to receive buffs or debuffs depending on whether they meet certain conditions. This system works particularly in VP tournaments and is set to be adjusted “as the season changes,” according to the official announcement. By doing so, each new PvP Season will be more exciting than ever before as the conditions change from one season to the next.

The system uses all or some of the following stats as conditions: Horse basic stats, Level up stat, Core stat, and Food buff.

Conditions

Players will be able to see the set conditions in the PvP menu. There are a couple of different conditions that could be found in a Season. An example of what a condition could be includes checking how many Cores you have equipped, or what the current rarity or level of your horse is. The full list of conditions is available in the below table.

Buffs & Debuffs

By meeting specific conditions, there are various buffs and debuffs that you could gain. This means that you could have your horse states be increased or decreased, but other stats could also be similarly affected, such as skill duration, talent grade, internal race stats, and more, as seen in the full list:

Next to these Meta conditions, another change included in this update is the removal of dialog that isn’t needed during training.
