Derby Stars has released the latest update to help new Riders enjoy and understand the gameplay. While some are permanent, some updates are subject to change.

The update was initially made for May 15th but that didn't work as it was a public holiday in Korea. Thus it was shifted to May 16th. For Season 39, there won't be any Victory Point matches before the maintenance starts on Thursday. Update 0.12 is compulsory for all Riders as the old version won't work after that.

Horse Specifications And The Rental System

The initial plan was to give free horses to new Riders only but that has been extended to all players. However, having a free horse doesn't make a player an official holder in Derby Stars.

The free horse has certain specifications. It is a Common, Non-Origin horse which cannot breed, cannot be rented out, cannot be traded, and has no rewards following retirement. It is also not recognised as a Derby Stars holder amongst many other specs.

The free horse given to new Riders will allow for a revamp in the rental system. This will better align it to its purpose which is to be a source of revenue for owners. As a revamp, revenue and convenience for owners will be adjusted, and there will be a new feature to hide rented-out horses within the game. The rental period of 2 weeks and the autorenewal function will be deleted.

PvP System Upgrade And Referral System

The PvP system will be divided into Rookie and Official tiers. The Rookie tier will be for new Riders and only those with horselaas than level 30 will be able to participate. The CRT Race will also be adjusted to accommodate changes to the environment. It will now be an official race type divided into Local, National, and World categories.

There will be changes to the Referral System for the game. For example, players will be able to set their referral code in the settings bar, and those who enter the game with a referral code will receive rewards for it.

There were several suggestions and feedback from the community for the current Webshop and this will be improved upon. Other improvements will include the calculation method for the Default Horse scores, adjustment to metrics for Daily Missions, and a change to attendance rewards.
