Defimons, a monster-catching MMORPG in development by Mon Studios, is set to officially launch into closed alpha, with the release named as the Hunting Season.

The Hunting Season is an invite-only alpha that will last until the minting of monster NFTs begins. No specific date for the free mint has yet been given at the time of writing. To get access to this closed alpha, you’ll need a Twitter account for verification, and an invite code which you’ll have to get from players who have already been approved. Everyone who has already been accepted is given 3 invite codes each, while partnered projects integrated in the game are also given a certain number of invite codes for holders in their respective communities to use.

This closed alpha is, according to rhe announcement, playable on any browser, including mobile ones, with native Windows, Android, iOS and MacOS support currently in the works.

Approved players can enjoy completing missions and weekly quests while playing various mini-games and enjoying various other activities. By inviting other users and doing things such as finishing weekly and daily missions, players can earn mint points in order to have a chance at earning whitelist spots for the upcoming starter monster mint. Owners of Apartment NFTs are directly whitelisted, with a couple of snapshots set to be taken “at random intervals.” Holders must however create an account in-game in order to be eligible, as whitelist spots are only distributed to in-game wallets.

The Starter Monster mint is a free mint that will include the minting of 3 starter monsters. As of writing, the mint date, supply and chain players will mint on have not been determined, though it has been stated that the whole supply is reserved for whitelisted users. In the event that any mints remain, they’ll be made available to the public.
