The DeFi Kingdoms team has announced the release of new Combat Potion updates alongside other improvements.

Update Details

The latest update for this month brings adjustments to crafting costs of Combat Potions while converting previously-crafted Combat Potions into Potion Crates as a result of contract migration but also so that the cost changes don’t put players at a disadvantage.

Crafting Costs

The potions that are being affected by the latest changes include the following: Anti-Poison Potion, Anti, Blind Potion, Health Vial, Full Health Potion, Magic Resistance Potion, Mana Vial, Full Mana Potion, Swiftness Potion, and Toughness Potion. Stamina Potions remain unaffected.

According to the official announcement, the amount of Gaia’s Tears needed for crafting a Combat Potion at the Alchemist “has been reduced to 1/5th of the previous amount.” This means that Full Health, Full Mana, and Swiftness Potions require only 4 Gaia’s Tears instead of 20, while Magic Resistance and Toughness Potions now only need 2 instead of 10 Gaia’s Tears, and Anti-Poison and Anti-Blind Potions, Health Vials, and Mana Vials only cost 1 Gaia’s Tears now.

Because of these changes however, you now need 3 times more Combat Potions for the Stone Carver recipes, so if you could previously craft the Lesser Chaos Stone for 1 Mana Vial, you will now need 3 Mana Vials to craft it. The team states that these adjustments are “meant to keep the cost of Combat Potions in line with expectations and accessibility.”

Potion Crates

If you have any Combat Potions that you’ve crafted before lying about, you will now find that they’ve been converted into Potion Crates. By opening them, you will 4x of the potion type you’ve previously crafted. Simply click on a Potion Crate in the Inventory Screen in order to find the option to open all of the crates containing the same potion type. Aside from this, the official post states that these Crates will not have any future utility, so you’ll want to open them as all contracts will be interacting with the new version of potions instead of crates.

All of these changes have been introduced in preparation for upcoming Bring Your Own Potion (BYOP) updates that are making their way together with the next Void Hunt.
