A new Void Hunt is making its way to the pixelated world of DeFi Kingdoms on the final day of February: the Bad Motherclucker Hunt.

Hunt Details

According to the announcement, all Heroes can take part in this hunt, but it’s recommended that Heroes are at least level 12 in order to best enjoy the challenging experience.

Choose your Hero party and their skills by speaking to Elmer Longbranch at the Crystalvale Tavern to successfully begin the hunt on these dangerous birds. The Knight, Warrior, Archer and Priest can currently pick abilities up to Tier 5. You can pay a fee to one of Longbranch’s guides so that they can point you to the nearby area inhabited by RocBocs. Fees for both hunts are said to have been lowered to 10 CRYSTAL and 500 GOLD because the Hunter’s Guild can no longer provide Heroes with Potions, meaning you willl have to bring your own instead. You pick the set of Potions you’d like bring using the Battle Inventory system, meaning that there is a total amount of weight that you can carry into battle. The amount of weight you can carry “will vary by the combat experience.” There will be a Thrifty Power-Up you can use for a chance at getting some of the used potions back after battle.

Every Hunt can be beaten only once every 24 hours, but you can still use the same Hero to do both the Mad Boar Hunt and this new one in one day.

A scheduled downtime will take place on Wednesday, February 28th at 7 PM EST and will last for about an hour in preparation for the new experience.

Rewards

The latest hunt brings with it 7 new equipment items to gain as rewards. They include new armor, shields, weapons, and weapon types, with each gear said to feature unique, randomly assigned stats. This update also introduces a new weapon to the reward pool for the Mad Boar Hunt.

As players complete these Hunts, there is a chance to gain Gaia’s Tears, Moksha Runes, and Void Shards, with Void Shards said to be soulbound to your wallet and designed for use in upcoming new content.

For the first week of this new Hunt, the developers are celebrating the launch by doubling drop rates for Moksha Runes, Void Shards, and Equipment. Next to the first week bonus, the team is also releasing a Hunt Sponsored Raffle system, with the first sponsorship coming from the Klaytn Foundation, who have donated more than $10k worth of prizes. For the Daily CRYSTAL Raffle, 2000 KLAY will be given every day for 25 days, with the reward said to be distributed between 3 winners, with the first one getting 1250 KLAY, the second 500, and the third 250 KLAY. Each Hunt that you successfully complete, be it Mad Boar or the Bad Motherclucker, will count as an entry to the raffle draw, with your chances of winning the draw potentially increasing by completing both hunts.
