The developers of NFT gaming platform Cryptomeda have provided detailed info on the reward system included in Meda Wars, a play-and-earn turn-based sci-fi strategy game for mobile devices.
The 2D game is currently available for Android devices via the Google Play Store, while the “Apple store listing is in process.” Players can currently enjoy turn-based PvE gameplay without the need of using a MetaMask wallet. There are weekly faction battles where players can conquer territories, with rewards being distributed both in quests and weekly faction battles, but also to the top-ranked players on the leaderboard.
Meda Gas, the in-game currency, can be purchased using $TECH tokens, with 5% of all the tokens used for buying Meda Gas in one week going to a burn wallet, burning the tokens quarterly while the remainder get sent to the wallet for the reward system.
In the Medium article explaining the reward system, the developers have stated that they have so far collected around 2.9 million TECH from the Meda Gas sale, with the Cryptomeda team adding 1 million tokens for rewards of the game’s first season, totaling to around 3.9 million tokens stored in the reward system wallet. 50% of those tokens will be shared across the top 100 players on October 3, while the remaining half will be reserved for the second season that takes place from October 3 to October 10 “together with TECH tokens collected from the Meda gas sale during the first season and so on.” A snapshot of the collected tokens will take place every Friday “so that players know the rewards for the following season.”
There will also be a reward called “Mark of Honor” that will serve “as a key to open loot boxes,” with more info on this to be revealed soon.
