CropBytes Conquest is currently in its beta testing phase, which began on July 17. During this period, players are testing the new PvP Battles and World Expansion modes. Beta testing includes a structured tournament format and a feedback survey to address issues and refine gameplay. The development team has already implemented several critical bug fixes based on initial player feedback, and further updates are expected as testing continues.

Understanding CropBytes and Its Gameplay

The CropBytes universe includes two main games—CropBytes Farm Game, active since 2018, and the upcoming CropBytes Conquest, set for release in 2024. CropBytes Conquest integrates with the existing CropBytes ecosystem, using web3 technology to enhance the connectivity of assets across both games. CropBytes Conquest features interoperability, where elements from CropBytes Farm Game, like biomes and energy, also play roles in Conquest, and the $CBX token that underpins the economic system of both games.

CropBytes Conquest integrates two main gameplay modes: PvP Battles and World Expansion. In PvP Battles, players face off against each other using Superheroes, who have shifted roles from agricultural aids in the CropBytes Farm Game to powerful defenders and strategists. In World Expansion mode, players manage a world divided into hexagonal Biome Tiles, such as Grasslands and Forests. Each Biome is home to Heart Creatures that produce essential resources.

Introducing CropBytes Conquest

On July 17, CropBytes announced the beta testing phase for CropBytes Conquest through a lively post on its social media channels. This phase introduces a competitive, player-versus-player (PVP) element to the game, allowing users to engage in battles and strategic gameplay.

As part of this beta phase, the CropBytes Conquest Tournament has commenced. The tournament is structured in a single-elimination format, featuring initial matches that are decided in a best-of-three series. In the first round, players are competing in matchups. The opening match of the tournament, was held on July 19th.

The beta testing process also included a feedback survey distributed to players, seeking their input on various aspects of the game. Key areas of focus included satisfaction with overall gameplay, clarity of game rules, and the effectiveness of the turn-based spell-casting system. Feedback collected from the survey will help guide future updates and enhancements, ensuring that the final release meets the expectations of the community.

In response to beta tester feedback, CropBytes has resolved several critical bugs. Also, the team released key fixes which include correcting an issue where players could win despite their character's death, fixing errors with turn skip cards and ultimate moves, and ensuring self-cast protection skills and universal shields function properly. Enhancements have also been made to the freeze ability, defensive cards, fire damage effects, and magic box usage. For more details, visit this page.
