Minted Loot Studios and Ammobox Studios have announced that the Play & Earn Season for multiplayer action RPG ChronoForge is starting soon with a prize pool featuring 6 million $RIFT tokens.

Season Details

The developers have published a 2-minute video covering how this exciting season will work.

According to the announcement, players will have to first join a Trading Company and go on dungeon-crawling adventures in order to gather various materials. These materials are needed for upgrading their floating vessel ship and building the ChronoForge. After it’s built, players will have to decide together to activate the ChronoForge which will open up a rift taking players to the end-game. This is where you will engage in a boss battle, defeating the boss as many times as possible in order to climb up the seasonal leaderboard.

Every week however, there is a potential chance of a global apocalypse happening. This can happen if too many Trading Companies activate their ChronoForge, leading to a global wipe for everyone. By having this mechanic in place, the game encourages players to engage in strategic PvP gameplay, firing Chrono Cannons at rival bases to slow them down and have them start over. Deed NFT owners will also have higher voting power and extra resources to affect Trading Company votes to prevent certain upgrades from taking place.

Rewards

At the end of every month, the top 1000 players will earn a share of the 6 million $RIFT prize pool, with the highest-ranked player getting 600k tokens. The third and final month are set to include 3 million tokens for players to earn.

How to Participate

To play in this season, you will need to own an Adventurer NFT or mint a free Season Rift Pass NFT on April 10th. According to the video, these Passes will be available in limited supply. Details on how to qualify for the Season Rift Pass are available in an official tweet posted on April 5th.

Last month, ChronoForge successfully raised $3 million in a strategic funding round that included many participants, among which were Alex Becker, SwissBorg, XBorg and more.
