After announcing $BAWK back in September, the CEO of Final Boss Games, who are working on Chicken Derby, a Web3 racing PvP RPG, has now shed some new light on the upcoming new token ahead of its presale.

What Is $BAWK?

$BAWK is the game’s new token designed to give players a new way to enjoy the blockchain title while being rewarded in the process from activities such as staking and racing.

The supply of this token will be fixed to 2 billion, and is divided in these categories, according to the official announcement:

  • Total Supply (fixed) — 2,000,000,000.00
  • Pre-sale — 30% — 600,000,000.00
  • Ecosystem — 22% — 442,000,000.00
  • Tournaments — 8% — 158,000,000.00
  • Staking Rewards — 40% — 800,000,000.00

Pre-sale & Ecosystem

Chicken and Golden Ticket holders will be among the first to gain access to the pre-sale for a limited time, after which everyone will have a chance at getting a share of the pre-sale supply. Buyers will be able to claim their tokens once the pre-sale is over, and the token will become available for everyone to trade, so the developers will not be selling any more tokens.

When it comes to ecosystem token emissions, the studio has a 5-year distribution schedule in place for the token, with players set to be able to earn it through racing. The amount that will be earnable will depend on the race’s entry fee, the number of tokens allocated for distribution in the current 28-day season, and the racing volume in the previous 3 seasons.

Instead of using $BAWK to pay entry fees for races, players will be using another new on-chain currency that will be available exclusively for the game: JEWELS. Players will have the option to buy and sell it for USDT at any time, with 70 JEWELS set to be equal to 1 USDT.

Staking & Tournaments

Every season, the team plans on adding 22.22 million tokens to the staking pool, which is set to be distributed equally depending on the number of staked chickens with Staking Status. Chickens with Staking Status are the original Spicy chickens as well as all made as a result of fusing these types. Unclaimed tokens from chickens not being staked will go towards the community treasury and will be utilized for marketing and ecosystem development.

Players will have a chance of earning tokens through tournaments as well, with 2.5 million tokens to be allocated for competitions every season. The difficulty and duration of the tournament will influence the quantity of the reward pool.

Main Utility

The official post states that the main utility of $BAWK is to get a piece of regulated shares in Chicken Derby Companies (CRC). These companies are the hosts of the races available in the game. They earn a share of the in-game entry fees paid by players, which is currently set to be 10% of the fees, with the rest going to the winners. Getting a regulated share in a CRC will require staking $BAWK to get a percentage of JEWELS that the CRC get each month.

There are more incentives that the team plans on introducing in order to ensure a healthy new game economy, which can be found outlined in the official announcement.
