ChatGPT in the Academic World
The groundbreaking AI chatbot ChatGPT has been making waves in the world of work, and its latest version, GPT-4, is set to transform it even further. With enhanced capabilities,
On March 14, OpenAI shared the test results for GPT-4, revealing its remarkable ability to convert image, audio, and video inputs into text, making it an incredibly versatile tool that can take on a wide range of tasks. The latest version of ChatGPT, GPT-4, has shown remarkable progress in its simulated performance on various tests, including the bar exam and the LSAT.
GPT-4 also demonstrated proficiency in the Uniform Bar Exam, scoring 298 out of 400, while the previous version of ChatGPT scored only 213 out of 400, placing it in the bottom 10%. Law graduates take the Uniform Bar Exam to acquire the license to practice law in any jurisdiction in the United States.
While GPT-4 performed well in the hard sciences, scoring well above the average percentile in AP Biology, Chemistry, and Physics 2, its performance in English literature exams was less impressive. These results have raised concerns among some Twitter users about the potential impact of GPT-4's capabilities on the global education system.
ChatGPT and Its Benefits to Blockchain Technology
GPT-4 has showcased its impressive abilities beyond academia by detecting security flaws in Ethereum smart contracts. Conor Grogan, a former director at Coinbase, tested a functional Ethereum smart contract with GPT-4, and the chatbot identified numerous "security vulnerabilities" while suggesting ways to exploit the code.
GPT-4 has already demonstrated its capability to identify code bugs during smart contract audits, but its current functionality is significantly more advanced. OpenAI has not disclosed the release date or usage plans for GPT-4, but it has the potential to significantly impact fields such as education, law, and cybersecurity. While the precise way GPT-4 will be integrated into these industries is uncertain, its wide-ranging expertise and versatility are evident.
