Metalist Lab has announced the third Chrismas test, Snowball Showdown, for their meme-based card game featuring 60-second intense battles, Cards Ahoy!

Test Details

This third holiday-themed test is scheduled to start on January 15th at 9:00 UTC and will be accessible only to players who have an Ice Key. Information on how to get Ice Keys will be revealed over time. Since this is a wipe test, progress won’t be saved, but you will get to keep your NFTs as you enjoy various test activities that include ladder rankings, trading rankings, and Snowlord Battle.

By participating in this test, players have a chance at earning rewards such as $CAC, Cards Ahoy Legendary Cards, and privileges for the Metalist Game Genesis Guild.

All current Ahoy Ticket holders are getting a Christmas gift from the developers as they will be activating the Ahoy Ticket and rewarding owners in-game with 5 Ahoy Boxes. It is also said that the new version of the Ahoy Ticket will cost $29.99 and will now come with 5 Ahoy Boxes alongside its standard benefits.

Updates

A couple of updates are making their way into this test phase, according to the announcement. These include the addition of a ‘Newbie Training Camp’ mission as well as the introduction of a testing phase for Arena gameplay, said to be available for free to players taking part in this upcoming test period. By completing the new mission, players are rewarded with 8 free Card NFTs.

Some of the cards in the Animal Faction have been buffed, and there is new marketplace functionality that lets players view an area for price change analysis alongside the option to easily one-click buy Card NFTs. Last but not least, players in the new test won’t be able to buy Ahoy Boxes with CAC like before, but will instead use CAC to purchase Ahoy Season Boxes.

The developers plan on revealing further details as the start of this date draws nearer.
